Accomplishments

-Built up the treasury of Onitsha branch, from inheriting a near zero balance to handing over a positive balance in millions.

- A 10-fold increase in membership base of Onitsha branch (from about 30 to at least 300 financially up-to-date and active members) at the time of handover.

- Improved relationships, conviviality and respect for one another during all gatherings including meetings.

- Energised and sustained sporting activities at Onitsha branch and encouraged health talks from professionals.

- initiated and sustained humanitarian medical and welfare outreach missions in many dioceses including the Mbamili, Ogbaru and Niger Dioceses.

- Elevated the ranking and place of DOBA Onitsha branch from a suboptimally performing Association to the most recognised branch of DOBAWW today as evidenced by the number of active members, participation and financial contributions to DOBAWW.

- Restored our core values, dignity and decency at all gatherings and created an enabling atmosphere for our wives and old girls to participate in our events till date as witnessed in the recently concluded 2024 annual thanksgiving and rededication service.

- Grew the financial base and confidence of members through sustained financial accountability, initiating a saving culture, introduced laudable projects that ultimately made it possible for Onitsha branch to own a viable Coaster bus - the DOBA1.

- Also initiated the Land Project in Onitsha branch, making it possible for a lot of members to be land owners today.

- Recognised welfare of members as one of the basis of an Association and was able to initiate programs that financially assisted the vulnerable and physically challenged members with funds (in millions). Today, some of them own businesses such as piggeries and business premises (shops) in choice market areas. They now fend for themselves and are giving back to the Association.
